The goal of the CEESO
Cancer mortality in Russia and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe is much higher than in the countries of Western Europe and North America. Health care systems of the countries of this region face a major task – to reduce mortality from cancer and other chronic non-communicable diseases (NCD) and to increase life expectancy. This task can be accomplished only by well-educated doctors and researchers having profound knowledge of the modern achievements in cancer science. Oncology is a rapidly developing field of medicine, and for practicing oncologists it may be difficult to keep up with its advancement. To be up to the international standards, all oncologists of the region must be aware of recent advances in the world oncological science and practice.
The CEESO promotes the achievement of this goal and allows to accelerate the access to the latest advances in the world oncological science and practice.
Scientific programs of the CEESO are being actively developed by specially established International Scientific Board which includes world’s leading authorities in the field of oncology.
